Overview
The aim of the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology is to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and technical and communication skills necessary to succeed as an Information Technology professional. Students will develop knowledge in core areas of ICT project management, computer design architecture, database systems and ICT ethics. The course also provides a pathway to Masters level study in a specialist Information Technology discipline.

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

Apply knowledge of current and emerging trends in Information Technology, including in the areas of computer organisation, database systems, ICT ethics and project managemen

Demonstrate proficiency in the use of information technology to develop solutions to real world problems

Analyse and critically evaluate ethical issues that relate to the IT discipline, including privacy related issues

Effectively communicate ICT project management concepts and solutions in a professional setting
