Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
demonstrate ethical and professional practice, consistent with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements whilst providing dignity and care to the patient;
2.
demonstrate appropriate diagnostic or monitoring procedures, treatment, therapy, or other actions safely informing clinical decision making and quality use of medications;
3.
formulate comprehensive and appropriate patient care following NSQHS standards, and demonstrating a logical and systematic approach in a culturally safe framework;
4.
identify and reflect on professional learning, development needs and opportunities from the placement experience;
5.
demonstrate reflection on and review of practice(s); and
6.
demonstrate appropriate communication skills and interprofessional collaboration with emergency service personnel and other health practitioners during safe patient management.

Placement Duration 160 hours Details 160 hours are required in total.  Clinical experience is a compulsory and important part of the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Practice (Paramedicine).
