Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

Explore and understand a range of theories and models of disability, including how they address diversity and social processes related to disability.

Compare Australian laws and policies relating to disability against the context of national and international human rights frameworks.

Understand the Australian disability service sector: its structures and services for people with disabilities in the light of national and international disability rights and standards.
4.
Understand the range of disability practice roles for human service workers in the disability sector.
5.
Explore in depth one aspect of the disability services sector, demonstrating research and digital literacy skills.
