Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to discuss a range of workplace learning theories and their usefulness in a variety of situations;
2.
be able to analyse classroom and workplace environments for their learning potential;
3.
be able to reflect on adult and vocational teaching and training, using appropriate literature as a reference source;
4.
be able to identify, evaluate and use strategies for effective reflection on professional practice;
5.
be able to reflect on developing their own teaching practice in the context of the Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40110/TAE40116), or the completion of a supervised teaching placement, to a higher level of professional expertise; and
6.
be able to critically analyse and use current professional literature in order to increase the efficacy of their own practice and their professional understanding.

Assumed knowledge

Students will have completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/TAE40116), or a supervised teaching placement, prior to commencing this subject.

Enrolment restrictions

This subject is not available to students who have completed EEB312.
