Techniques of integration. Ordinary differential equations and modelling. Sequences, series, Taylor series. Vectors, functions of several variables. Complex numbers.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to apply techniques of integration;
2.
be able to solve simple differential equations;
3.
be able to calculate and apply Taylor series approximations;
4.
be able to apply techniques of calculus for functions of several variables;
5.
be able to perform calculations with complex numbers;
6.
be able to analyse complex problems, transform them into mathematical form and solve them using appropriate methods; and
7.
be able to use mathematical software for solving and communicating complex mathematical problems.
