Overview

The aim of the Graduate Diploma of Organisational Coaching and Leadership is to build on knowledge and skills developed in the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching and Leadership through synthesis and application. The course provides advanced learning to enhance the ability of students to work effectively in complex settings as coaches and leaders contributing to the dynamism of organisations. Leadership and coaching capabilities will be developed during the course through effective communication, facilitation, critical and reflective judgement, problem solving, and ethical decision making skills.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
1.
evaluate and synthesise organisational coaching and leadership theories, principles, practices and contexts;
2.
critically analyse the importance of organisational coaching and leadership as dynamic activities that underpin staff commitment and achieve organisational goals and objectives;
3.
critically reflect on the professional and ethical issues of organisational coaching and leadership engagement;
4.
critically reflect on and evaluate the design and implementation of practice-based coaching and leadership organisational change interventions;
5.
evaluate the challenges to effective coaching and leadership within a complex and dynamic organisational setting;
6.
implement organisational coaching, mentoring and educational roles within the wider leadership context;
7.
formulate and implement strategies and practice-based interventions for coaching and leadership practice; and
8.
listen and communicate effectively.

Professional accreditation

Notes :The IECL component in the courses is based on the IECL Coach Training Program (ACTP) curriculum. The ACTP is accredited by the International Coach Federation (USA) and students who complete the ACTP program may apply for ICF credentialing.

Alternative exit options

The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
