Abstract
This subject provides an opportunity for post-graduate students to research, in depth, a chosen topic within the social work/human services field and to demonstrate ability to select and apply appropriate research methods, analyse data and report findings in a Masters dissertation.
Syllabus
The subject will cover the following topics:
Application of research methods, academic analysis and writing within an individual research program leading to production of a dissertation.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to undertake independent research in the fields of Social Work/Human Services practice and social policy analysis
2.
be able to demonstrate skills of writing, data analysis, policy analysis and critical thinking necessary to produce publishable research
