Handbook

This subject introduces students to the APAC prescribed competencies to address aspects of clinical psychology practice requiring advanced knowledge and skills. The subject focuses on the comprehensive assessment and management of clients from diverse cultural, gender, and sexual backgrounds presenting with complex clinical issues. It also addresses issues such as clinical psychology in forensic/corrections settings, practice in rural/remote areas and in primary health care, and professional issues such as practice management, and the provision of clinical supervision. Further, the subject aims to add to the existing skills and competencies acquired in the previous subjects and the student’s training thus far which could be applied and translated into evidence-based clinical practice during their placement.
