Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
integrate and apply knowledge gained from academic subjects for a range of clients within the specific clinical setting;
2.
demonstrate achievement of the standards required of an entry level physiotherapist as defined by the Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds in Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand (2023) relevant to the clinical setting;
3.
articulate and demonstrate their achievement of entry-level competency relevant to the clinical setting; and
4.
effectively integrate skills in assessment, clinical reasoning, planning and implementation of physiotherapy management for a range of clients within the specific clinical setting.

Enrolment restrictions

This subject is offered in the same session as one other workplace learning subject, PHS424. PHS419 is subsequent to PHS416, PHS417 and PHS418.

Work integrated learning

Placement Duration 160 hours Details Students will assessed using the national competency assessment tool, the APP and on successful completion of the placement will have demonstrated safe and effective professional practice in the allocated placement setting and client context. 25 days (approx 160hrs)

Students attending compulsory workplace learning placements are responsible for all associated travel, uniform, accommodation and required resources. Students must meet pre-clinical requirements prior to undertaking workplace learning placements.
