Abstract
This subject presents an integrated approach to the theory, research and practice of the leadership and management of the change process. Students will develop and apply action plans that encompass diagnosis, interventions, implementation, institutionalisation (sustaining change) and learning.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to demonstrate a perspective on the theory and practice of organisational change;
2.
to be able to evaluate and apply appropriate methods for the diagnosis of external and internal pressures for change in organisations;
3.
be able to assess political, cultural, structural and leadership factors in implementing change, considering the type, depth and scale of the change program;
4.
be able to create tactics to understand and engage stakeholders and predict their behavioural and emotional reactions; and
5.
be able to formulate strategies and action plans for managing and leading effective change including targeting the level and types of change, change institutionalisation, and learning.
