Syllabus

Contemporary leadership theory - transformational leadership, servant leadership, charismatic leadership, principal centred leadership, level 5 leadership and covenantal leadership;Evaluation of own and organisations/community’s leadership styles; and Research, planning ,executing and evaluation of an action plan for their own leadership development.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
Critically analyse and evaluate leadership styles, including their own, in the context of community resilience and contemporary leadership thinking; and
2.
Critically reflect and make recommendations to enhance the use of transformative leadership in their own practice and in that of their organisation and /or community.
