Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to describe and discuss the nature and significance of community history collections;

be able to recognise and explain the need for community groups and organisations to maintain their historical records in a sustainable, inclusive, and accessible manner which reflects the evolution of that community;
3.
be able to apply a foundational understanding of library and archival practices integral to the development and management of community history collections in the digital environment;
4.
be able to identify and review funding and development opportunities relevant to community history collections; and
5.
be able to identify policy requirements for a community history collection.
