Curriculum Method 2: PDHPE

Abstract

This curriculum subject focuses on the NSW Stage 6 Personal Development, Health and Physical Education Key Learning offerings (Health and Movement Science, Community and Family Studies, Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation, Exploring Early Childhood). The subject provides opportunities for teacher education students to apply contemporary evidence-based knowledge and pedagogies to plan, assess and report on student achievement of curriculum outcomes. Students further learn to differentiate outcomes, content, processes and assessments to cater for the needs of diverse learners. Students will embed digital resources into lesson design and assessment, while ensuring learners' e-safety. The subject supports students to design learning experiences to assist their learners develop critical inquiry and research skills.
