Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to identify, describe, and explain the key frameworks and organisations of the humanitarian sector;
2.
be able to describe and evaluate the main theoretical concepts, principles, and policies of humanitarian practice;
3.
be able to critically analyse the legal, ethical, and cultural issues facing contemporary humanitarian emergencies; and
4.
be able to critically reflect and evaluate one's own self-resilience, self-preparedness, and professional practice in relation to complex humanitarian emergencies.
Assumed knowledge
It is assumed students will have completed EMG100
