Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to demonstrate the knowledge and clinical skills required for the examination, diagnosis, treatment planning and dental treatment for children;
2.
be able to recall and apply the specific behaviour management strategies required for the provision of optimal oral health care for children;
3.
be able to demonstrate continuing development of competency relevant to the management of dental treatment for children; and
4.
be able to demonstrate basic orthodontics knowledge relevant to general dental practice, with particular focus on diagnosis, case selection and referral of patients.
