Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to analyse and explain the functional role that projects play in the strategic management of global and local organisations;
2.
be able to evaluate the various stages of the project life cycle and its application through resource usage, budgeting and actual cost implications, timeline performance, risk assessment, leadership as well as local and global cultural issues;
3.
be able to apply the socio-cultural (people, culture, communication) dimensions of projects across all aspects of projects; and
4.
be able to draw valid conclusions as to the reasons projects succeed or fail and transfer of outcomes to application in the workplace.

Enrolment restrictions

Students completing Stages I, II and III of the Bachelor of Business Studies China Program or students enrolled in a Transnational Education Partner Program only. Not available to students who have completed MGT290 or MGT385.
