Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to examine coaching and mentoring programs both locally and internationally from a comparative perspective;
2.
be able to analyse the conceptual underpinnings of coaching and mentoring in leadership learning as an effective professional development tool and as a strategy for implementing change and/or organisational improvement;
3.
be able to evaluate research evidence on coaching and mentoring effectiveness relating to leadership learning in education and/or training settings from around the globe;
4.
be able to evaluate theoretical knowledge and concepts underpinning coaching and mentoring (in, on and for practice) from across international contexts; and
5.
be able to analyse staff professional development and support needs, and formulate a work-based coaching and/or mentoring program based on international best practices.
