Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to competently conduct cognitive-behavioural assessments of adults with anxiety, mood and related disorders;
2.
be able to critically analyse and synthesize the information obtained during cognitive-behavioural assessments in order to be able to develop individualised cognitive-behavioural formulations for adults with anxiety, mood and related disorders;
3.
be able to articulate treatment plans, based on individualised cognitive-behavioural formulations, that nominate appropriate targets for intervention, specifically targeting identified maintaining factors;
4.
be able to demonstrate competence in the application of cognitive-behavioural interventions for anxiety, mood and related disorders;
5.
be able to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapies for anxiety, mood and related disorders, modifying formulations as necessary; and
6.
be able to understand the roles and effectively communicate with other professionals involved in patient care.
