Abstract

In this subject we think philosophically about some of the biggest practical issues that give shape to people's lives. Examples include the following: Should you have children? Should you fear death? Should you get married? What forms of sex are morally permissible?

Syllabus

Applications: Practical moral problems/issues concerning: birth: the beginning of human life,death: the end of human life,love: entering into and maintaining loving relationships with others,sex: entering into and maintaining sexual relationships with others. Philosophical Theory: The analysis and evaluation of philosophical arguments concerning the practical problems addressed.
