Handbook

This subject supports students to analyse and apply creative scientific problem-solving approaches to nursing care for people with complex health challenges related to stress responses, shock, cancer, ageing, and end of life. Students examine the pathophysiology of these complex health challenges and develop appropriate nursing care to enhance patient outcomes and assure patient safety. 

This subject will cover the following topics:

• Module 1: Alterations to health, stress responses and shock;
• Module 2: Alterations to health and cancer;
• Module 3: Alterations to health and the process of ageing; and
• Module 4: Alterations to health and the end of life.
