Module 1: Arrwekele - Muna Kaurna (before) clinical placement
Module 2: Baruk - Meryam Mir (beginning) your clinical placement
Module 3: Pawu - Ngiyampaa (middle) of clinical placement
Module 4: Mutha - Yindjibarndi (end) of clinical placement

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
describe and evaluate how clinical practice relates to professional practice, as reflected in the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce;
2.
apply communication skills and interviewing techniques used while conducting a comprehensive mental health assessment and providing culturally safe care for complex mental health clients;
3.
evaluate and compare risk assessment tools used in clinical practice and implement strategies to support clients that present as high risk;
4.
implement clinical formulation and care planning after completing a comprehensive mental health assessment;
5.
critique the legal and ethical issues associated with clinical practice;
6.
evaluate the impact of factors on people experiencing mental illness i.e., cultural, psychological; and
7.
critically examine reflective practice and its application to mental health care.
