Network Design

Abstract

This subject is designed to provide students with experience in the architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks. Concepts covered in this subject enable students to develop advanced skills related to wide area network (WAN) technologies, Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Access Control List (ACL), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Address Translation (NAT), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Virtual Private Network (VPN), and Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms for secure remote access, along with software-defined networking, virtualisation and automation concepts supporting network digitisation. This subject is the last in a series of three subjects that incorporate the Cisco Networking Academy Program.
