This subject continues from Arabic Language and Culture 1 and covers new topics related to everyday interactions including education, work, sport, travel and food. Students will also learn about the culture, geography and dialects of major Arab regions. Students will continue to develop their practical skills by exploring more complex sentence structures and verb conjugation in the different tenses.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to read passages at the intermediate low level that include newly introduced vocabulary and sentence structures

be able to communicate in conversation at the intermediate low level involving the new topics introduced

be able to accurately use verbs that are related to everyday interactions in different tenses, person, number and gender

be able to compose short passages related to the topics covered while expressing correct usage of nouns, verbs and sentence structures
