Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to demonstrate how data, including enterprise, research and 'big' data are collected and managed within organisations;
2.
be able to investigate and critically analyse the literature regarding data in different organisations, including information agencies, in their social, cultural, economic, ethical and technological contexts;
3.
be able to appraise the role or information technology (IT) and analytics in relation to the use and management of data; and
4.
be able to identify and critically assess and apply appropriate data tools and analytics.
