Landscape Design

Abstract

Landscape design is a broad discipline with a long tradition of creativity involving plants and other landscape elements. This subject is designed to give students a solid grounding in the principles and practices of landscape design as a platform for innovative and sustainable practice. The historical, aesthetic, horticultural and practical elements of landscape design will be explored. This includes Australian native and exotic plant assemblages as well as hard landscape elements. Drawing principles and graphic presentation, both essential components of any design process, will be investigated.
