Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
discuss the relative importance of different forms of leadership for quality management in health care;
2.
describe commonly-used quality management tools and their applications in health care;
3.
analyse health data using descriptive analysis;
4.
develop an audit for monitoring and responding to levels of adherence to standards and accreditation requirements to ensure a safe workplace; and
5.
critically evaluate local policy for serious incident management requiring a multi-agency/disaster response.
