Handbook

In this subject, teacher education students will critically reflect on their discipline knowledge in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) learning area. Students will develop their conceptual understandings and knowledge of History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business, in local to global contexts. Students will acquire an appreciation of both past and contemporary Australia that affirms the histories and cultures of First Nations Australians as part of a shared Australian history. Students completing this subject will engage in critical and creative thinking, ethical understanding, and intercultural understandings that underpin just social and civic participation in their community and a respect for people and places, past, present and future, in a diverse, interconnected and dynamic world.
