This subject will cover the following topics:
- strategies for creation of a literature review;
- human and Animal Ethics considerations and applications; and
- writing research proposals.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
locate, review, critically appraise and synthesise academic literature relevant to a specific topic;
2.
identify a gap in the relevant literature and formulate a research question; and
3.
develop a research proposal, including completion of ethical requirements and other approvals required for research.
Assumed knowledge
HLT505 Research Methods in Health Science A or equivalent level 5 research methods subject.

Restricted to postgraduate coursework students.
