Handbook

This subject extends students’ previous education and experience to advance the knowledge and specialised skills they need to provide critical care paramedicine for traumatic and toxicological emergencies. Students will further develop their ability to integrate assessment and diagnostic data, knowledge of relevant anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and evidence-informed practice to propose critical care paramedicine treatment plans. Students will also integrate specialised paramedic knowledge, theories and frameworks to further develop the professional attributes and clinical reasoning skills required to provide effective leadership during a major trauma event.
