Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
interpret clinical data derived from advanced patient diagnostics, assessment and history taking to inform clinical decision making for pediatric, maternal and neonatal emergencies;
2.
integrate advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology to critical care paramedic management of paediatric, maternal and neonatal emergencies;
3.
formulate evidence-informed critical care paramedic treatment plans for paediatric, maternal and neonatal emergencies; and
4.
apply safe, ethical, patient-centred and inclusive practices to critical care Paramedicine for paediatric, maternal and neonatal patients including effective cultural safety to First Nations peoples.
