<p>This subject provides the opportunity for students to undertake work integrated learning experiences that are meaningful to their discipline specialisation. The subject involves authentic work integrated learning in an external industry or community context. This activity may be as varied as engagement with a social media campaign or activism; self-initiated community engagement or advocacy project; volunteerism; community engaged creative work; return to country program; or formal work placement.</p>

 The subject requires real and authentic engagement in an external industry/community context, however, as per Gannaway and Sheppard (2016), this engagement can be as varied as engagement with a social media campaign or activism, self-initiated community engagement or advocacy project, volunteerism, community engaged creative work, return to country program, or formal work placement.
