Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and execute a research proposal
2.
be able to demonstrate application of research methodologies, methods of enquiry and data collection appropriate to the chosen area of pastoral counselling study
3.
be able to generate research questions appropriate to pastoral counselling inquiry
4.
be able to demonstrate a high order of skill in selection, analysis, critical evaluation and synthesis of literature appropriate to the chosen area of study in pastoral counselling and complete a literature review
5.
be able to apply an indepth understanding of the ethical issues involved in the proposed research and to complete any required submissions to the appropriate ethics committee
6.
be able to present for evaluation, a defensible research proposal
7.
be able to demonstrate a high order of skill in research, writing and communication skills.
