Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to undertake a thorough literature review and complete a written synthesis and appraisal of this literature;
2.
be able to identify and suggest appropriate mitigation strategies for ethical risks associated with research;
3.
be able to demonstrate knowledge of research methods and sound study design, including how study design can impact on the interpretation of data;
4.
be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills of data analysis and interpretation; and
5.
be able to effectively communicate the rationale, method, and results of a research project via an APA style formal dissertation.

Enrolment restrictions

Students enrolling in PSY470 and PSY471 must not have already completed PSY424.
