Health care funding internationally;Health care funding models;Renegotiating budgets;Managing a budget under challenging circumstances;Strategies for budget control and for working within a budget;Trends and challenges in health care funding; and Accounting principles and financial management tools.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
critically analyse future trends and challenges in health care funding;
2.
create strategies for operational budget and non-budget control;
3.
plan and manage a financial budget through the application of key accounting principles and financial management tools;
4.
develop financial strategies for challenging circumstances and present a cogent argument for a renegotiated budget; and
5.
write a business plan.
