Abstract
Management theories are contextualised to health service governance structures and processes and their application is considered at organisational and team levels and against different management contexts and goals. Emphasis is placed on governance and its impact on the accountability of healthcare leaders as a key object of management practice.

Management and systems theories;Organisational structure, management and communication;Personal and professional accountability and reflection;Team management skills in healthcare settings; andCorporate governance contextualised to health management and leadership.
