This subject will cover the following topics Introduction to leadership theories;Communication, negotiation and decision-making;Personality trait testing and feedback mechanisms as means for supporting health leadership;Personal reflection and ethical leadership;Building and leading teams; andAchieving a balance between competing organisational values and priorities.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

analyse leadership theories and how they can be applied to improving staff engagement within health organisations;
