This subject will cover the following topics: Government, social, regulatory, professional, building and accreditation influences on health and health care globally;Forging and maintaining links with and influencing governing bodies;Global health priorities - climate, ageing, refugee health and Indigenous health;Health policy; andManagerial epidemiology.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
identify and analyse policy directions of health systems internationally;
2.
identify and analyse relevant challenges (e.g. political, social, technical or economical) from stakeholder perspectives; and
3.
contribute to the development of evidence based policy changes in health settings.
