Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
organise and implement an advanced evidence-based program of supervision and mentorship for students in the workplace;
2.
apply principles of adult learning to workplace learning in the Medical Radiation Sciences;
3.
differentiate the concepts of clinical competence and clinical capability in the context of Medical Radiation practice;
4.
formulate strategies to apply the principles of assessment in the workplace and appropriately assess clinical capability;
5.
apply research-based approaches to meet the diverse needs of students in the clinical supervision environment and integrate culturally safe practices of supervision and assessment; and
6.
formulate appropriate strategies to effectively supervise students and deliver feedback to students and education providers.
Assumed knowledge
Undergraduate degree in MRS and clinical experience in MRS.
Enrolment restrictions
Only available to students enrolled in the Master of Advanced Medical Radiation Practice.
Available for Single Subject Study for Postgraduate students who have a qualification in the Bachelor of MedRadSc (or equivalent)
Incompatible
