Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
1.
be able to identify and analyse current theory and research in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behaviour;
2.
be able to evaluate the opportunities for a value proposition of an entrepreneurial idea and assess the viability of a project for development;
3.
be able to identify and evaluate start-up processes to a lean business model and apply to a potential start-up idea;
4.
be able to develop and present a business plan for an entrepreneurial venture that is appropriate for different audiences;
5.
be able to describe the pros and cons of venture finance in a start-up business model vs. a sustained growth business model;
6.
be able to develop and present a pitch of a business idea for a start-up for potential investors; and
7.
be able to make recommendations for a entrepreneurial project or venture based on sound and justified evidence.
