Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

have an in-depth understanding of the three major dimensions to our livelihoods in a global environment: the world's population, the natural environment, and economic development

be able to analyse and coherently discuss complex interactions between the major social, environmental and economic dimensions
3.
be able to critically analyse the main debates and rationales associated with use and protection of natural resources
4.
be able to analyse and appraise the range of strategies being implemented globally that seek to balance human development with natural resource management;
5.
be able to actively contribute to analytical conversations on key global environmental issues
