Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

be able to understand why educational research is conducted;

have gained an overview of different methods that may be employed in researching educational problems;

be able to understand how research studies are designed and conducted;

be able to judge when each of these research methods is appropriate and how each may be applied to educational situations;

be able to read and understand research literature; and

know how to critique research and research reports.
