Overview

This course will provide students with a comprehensive education in the application and theory of computer science, with an emphasis on computer programming, cyber security or web development. Students may elect to study a  cyber security or web development major or the standard Computer Science course, where subjects may be chosen to suit a particular interest.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

demonstrate and apply knowledge that is relevant to the computer science discipline, including in the areas of software development, object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, and computer games programming

design and create object-oriented programs to solve a variety of real-world problems

analyse and correct errors and design flaws during multiple phases of the programming process

employ effective communication techniques when discussing computing concepts and solutions
