Overview
The aim of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is to educate engineers in a regional setting, using industry placement to provide an authentic learning environment. Engineering practice requires a number of valuable and transferable skills; resilience, adaptability, a willingness to accept responsibility early, and communicating with both technical and non-engineers. These skills are essential for regional practice, but they are also in demand in national and international settings.
Students will complete the first two years of their degree face-to-face on campus, followed by two years of work placements in industry while concurrently completing the remainder of the academic content of their degree.
