Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is designed for students who are currently working in human resources or related areas who wish to gain professional qualifications in human resource management.  It is also designed for early career professionals from other disciplines who are contemplating a career in human resource management.  The course provides students with a foundation understanding of human resources, evaluation and metric indicators of human resources, employment law, and the strategic role of human resource management.  The course will challenge students to apply learning in a workplace context.  Students will develop their cognitive skills to analyse and to critically evaluate relevant theory across all four subjects.

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

Employ knowledge and skills to critically interpret theoretical human resource frameworks and legislative requirements

Apply cognitive skills in the review, analysis and synthesis of human resource management data and information to identify and apply relevant practices within a culturally and socially diverse global workplace

Conduct research to ethically investigate and analyse complex human resource management issues and provide and evaluate recommendations and solutions
4.
Use a variety of mediums to foster collaboration and communication, transfer knowledge and ideas, build teams and influence stakeholders

Apply strategies and produce outputs that serve organisational interests in the contemporary, global and digitally connected human resource operating environment
