Overview
The Bachelor of Exercise Science (Honours) program consists of a fourth year of study in which the student conducts a research project and writes a thesis under the supervision of members of the academic staff. It is offered only in full-time mode. The program aims to produce graduates of high quality who will impact significantly in the field of Exercise Science and be critical agents in the emerging professions of this field. In order to achieve this aim, the Bachelor of Exercise Science (Honours) program provides a research orientation that combines advanced research methods and concepts with an independent project within the areas of movement science, professional studies, or socio-cultural issues of sport. The program also provides students with the opportunity to engage in scholarly debate and discussion of Movement Science topics. The program is designed to prepare graduates for a research career, and careers requiring research skills and people management.
