Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis

Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis is designed to provide current and future intelligence practitioners with a theoretical and practical foundation that instils in graduates a professional practice approach to intelligence. The course is primarily focused on those currently, or wishing to work, in security, law enforcement and private sector intelligence and analytical contexts. Through the completion of this course, students will also develop broader graduate attributes articulated by CSU so that they can contribute more fully to the community.

Entry Requirement

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis need to satisfy one or more of the following criteria:

Be working as an intelligence practitioner in a law enforcement, national security, regulatory, or commercial agency.

Demonstrate professional experience in one or more intelligence practitioner contexts (strategic, operational, or tactical intelligence).

Have completed a relevant Charles Sturt University intelligence short course, or an industry based course recognised by Charles Sturt University.

Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in criminology, justice, or security studies.

Satisfy the Course Director of other skills or professional qualifications that would make the candidate eligible for entrance into the course.

Credit

Credit Arrangements

The Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security is regularly liaising with a number of other law enforcement agencies to assess credit packages based on internal industry courses that allow articulation into the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and Master of Intelligence Analysis. These credit and articulation arrangements are progressively being established and details of finalised packages are made available on the Charles Sturt University Credit Pathway Management system (CPM) as they are finalised.
