Nested Course Structure

This course aims to provide a strong foundation in health-related sciences along with the opportunity to choose to study subjects from a number of disciplines that can enable a career in health, or provide preparation for successful graduates to enter postgraduate programs in clinical disciplines such as dentistry or medicine. The degree also acts as a preparation course for undergraduate health and medical degrees by providing appropriate first-year subjects that support higher-level subjects in, for example, nutrition, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and immunology. An additional aim is to provide students with an understanding of rural and regional health issues. Graduates of this degree will be well placed to enter higher degrees in research to enable a research career.

A completed High School Certificate with an ATAR of 65 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent. OR A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
